Baylor University seeks an outstanding person to become the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist in Human Resources.

Position Description:
This position specifically supports the mission of the university by partnering with all hiring managers in identifying, interviewing, selecting, retaining, and developing employees who possess the knowledge and skills, as well as having demonstrated aptitudes and personal traits, to successfully contribute to the department’s strategic goals and objectives.  Responsibilities include creating recruiting strategies; recruitment and selection for senior, technical and executive level positions; interviewing candidates; scheduling and coordinating interviews for hiring managers; updating job descriptions; reviewing and approving confidential personnel actions; working with General Counsel on immigration processes and issues; creating and coordinating search committees; participating and strategizing job fairs; negotiating and maintaining advertising contracts; mentoring and collaborating with other recruiters, and facilitating new employee orientation.

The selected candidate possesses knowledge and experience in human resources including recruitment strategy, employment, behavioral interviewing, background and reference checks, employment law, new employee orientation, executive level searches, candidate sourcing, HRIS and applicant tracking systems.

Qualifications
:
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of relevant work experience is required. Preferred candidates will possess PHR or SPHR certification and 5 or more years of senior level recruiting experience. Successful candidates will have strong experience in social media recruiting and communication, problem solving and analytical ability, ability to handle a very high volume of positions at once, excellent presentation skills and the ability to think creatively. Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems is essential. Demonstrated Christian faith is required.
