This job expired 2 months ago.The Bates College Department of Anthropology invites applications for a sabbatical-replacement position for the 2012-2013 academic year (with possibility of a second-year, pending approval). The successful candidate will need to teach two sections of introduction to cultural anthropology, a history of anthropological theory course, and two electives. The research focus is open but the department encourages applications from candidates able to offer courses in the area of medical anthropology, Arab/Muslim world, immigration, linguistic anthropology, or South America. A Ph.D. with teaching experience is preferred, but ABDs will be considered. Review of applications will begin February 15, 2012 and continue until the position is filled.
