GENERAL DUTIES: Develops and manages career development programs and services in a College of Unit and assumes a leadership role in the design and delivery of creative approaches to career education and planning. 

- Assists in unit planning, such as setting goals and objectives, and monitors status of progress toward meeting goals

- Designs and produces outcomes assessment reports; reviews outcomes and feedback and recommends strategies to expand and improve services.

- Directs a portfolio of targeted career programs, such as mentoring, internship, and alumni programs

- Manages one or more aspects of career office operations, such as on-campus recruiting

- Evaluates new technologies, assessment materials, and other career tools, makes recommendations, and acquires/implements them

- May counsel a limited number of students

- Performs related duties as assigned.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION: As part of the Graduate Career Management Center's Career Advising team, the Graduate Career Programs Manager works as part of a team of professionals to advise, counsel, and educate Zicklin's current graduate business students on defining career goals and formulating job search strategies. The principal role of the Manager is to empower students with life-long career management skills and enable them to make successful transitions from graduate school to professional life in for-profit and not-for-profit settings via self-assessment, research into career options and opportunities for experiential learning. The Manager provides innovative and high quality career development programming that supports the ongoing career choice process, job search skills building, and the overall leadership and professional development of graduate students to prepare them to accept the responsibility of serving their communities and Baruch as engaged alumni. The Manager reports to the Director and works closely with the Career Advising Team leader, the Associate Director of Career Advising. 

The duties and responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to:
- Coaches, advises, and prepares graduate students in relation to their career management and professional development.
- Develops and leads career management programming, both in person and in webinar format.
- Collaborates with the Director and Associate Director to develop, deliver, and refine GCMC-delivered programming specifically aimed at the Full Time MBA population, including academic course content, orientation presentations, job search groups, networking events, and workshops.
- Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive social networking strategy for the GCMC aimed at communicating and fostering positive relationships with students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employers.
- Evaluates new and existing vendors of career education resources and makes recommendations to the Director regarding best use of GCMC resources. Manages existing vendor relationships, including liaising with the Dean's Office to ensure payment of invoices.
- Working closely with the Director and the Employer Relations Team, manages GCMC web content.
- Collaborates with the Employer Relations Team and Alumni Relations staff to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to alumni and current and potential employers.
- Oversees the hiring, training, and management of the Center's Graduate Assistants and College Assistants.
- Creates communication and marketing plans designed to familiarize students with Center resources and programs.
- Assists with the outreach and tracking of employment outcomes surveys according to the MBA Career Services Council's Standards for Reporting Employment Data.
- Analyzes career advisement activity data and makes recommendations for improved programs and processes.
- Develops monthly, semester, and annual reports on career advisement activities and outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: A Master's Degree in a related discipline and experience in counseling, career and executive coaching, career services, advising, human resources, recruiting, higher education administration, business, or a related field are strongly preferred. Career counseling and/or training experience in a university career development center or corporate career development is also strongly preferred. Experience with career development inventories such as CareerLeader is preferred. Experience with computer and web technology uses in career development and recruiting, including social networking platforms such as LinkedIn, is essential. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, and work collaboratively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of and/or experience working with MBA students and/or graduates, with considerable knowledge of the types of industries and jobs generally pursued by graduate business students.

COMPENSATION: $64,956 - $74,133; commensurate with qualifications and experience.
