Barton College School of Social Work invites applications for a tenure track, nine month academic appointment at the assistant professor rank beginning August, 2014.
Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load across the undergraduate social work curriculum in traditional and accelerated professional programs; academic advising; service to the college; scholarship; and engagement in the community. Familiarity with the 2008 EPAS standards is desirable.
This position requires an earned doctorate or ABD in social work or a related field; and/ or significant faculty experience; and a minimum of two years post MSW practice experience.
Barton College is a private, undergraduate, liberal arts college located 45 minutes east of Raleigh and 2 hours west of the beaches. The College enrolls 900 students in the traditional day program, and 150 adult students in its accelerated program. The social work program has three full time faculty members with approximately 90 majors.
