Bainbridge College Bainbridge, Georgia is seeking innovative full-time faculty who are dedicated to student success. Bainbridge College is a two-year college within the University System of Georgia offering both technical and transfer programs to over 4,000 students. Students enjoy small classes in a supportive atmosphere. Located in southwest Georgia, the city of Bainbridge is thirty-five miles north of Tallahassee, Florida.

This is a full-time, ten-month, tenure-track faculty position. Responsibilities include teaching general Reading courses. The faculty member will also be expected to advise students, perform institutional and community service, and continue to grow professionally in the field. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, Saturday, online, and off-campus experiences. The teaching load is 14-16 semester hours per semester. Additional summer employment is usually available. The successful candidate will possess the education and experience to be an effective instructor and a productive faculty member. Instructors are expected to foster an environment of professionalism, to seek the continuous improvement of the curriculum, and to develop professionally in the field. The successful candidate will also be a strong advocate for education within the college and community at large.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree with specialization in reading or closely related field from an accredited college or university
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s or Doctoral Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in reading or closely related field
• 18 graduate semester hours to teach in a second discipline area, such as English
• Teaching experience in a community college
• Experience with instructional technology
• Record of scholarly publications or presentations
INTERVIEW PROCESS: Candidates must demonstrate an ability to teach using the latest in instructional technology. Finalists selected for campus interviews will deliver a thirty-minute teaching demonstration to the search committee, faculty members, and students (if available). Specific instructions will guide the demonstration.
RANK AND SALARY: Commensurate with credentials and experience.
