POLITICAL SCIENCE - AUGUSTANA COLLEGE invites applications for a one year Teaching Fellow position in Political Theory and American Politics for the 2012-13 academic year. The successful candidate will be able to teach modern and contemporary political theory courses; specialization in the secondary field of American Politics is open. Augustana College is on a trimester calendar system with a typical visiting position teaching load of seven courses over three terms.
The candidate will join an active, six-member department. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate teaching effectiveness and an understanding of the nature of a liberal arts education. Preference will be given to candidates who will have completed their PhD by the time of appointment, although ABD candidates will also be considered.
Augustana College is a selective liberal arts college of 2,500 students, most of whom live on a wooded 115-acre campus.
