History: One-Year Teaching Fellow

History - Augustana College invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral Teaching Fellow position in post-Civil War American history, beginning with the 2012-2013 academic year. The successful candidate will teach seven classes during the 2012-2013 academic year: five courses at the introductory level, one upper division course with a preference for African-American history or the American West, and one course in Augustana’s innovative first-year Liberal Studies curriculum. A PhD in hand at the time of appointments is preferred; advanced ABDs will be considered. A commitment to creative and effective undergraduate teaching and advising is expected.
