Position Summary: The Assistant Professor-Online position carries a full teaching load and is located in San Diego, CA. Non- teaching duties are detailed below:
Essential Job Duties:
• Provides academic leadership and training to support all academic programs and student success as directed.
• Provide support and leadership for program and academic discipline oversight as assigned by the Executive Dean.
• Support faculty development through the Faculty Forum process, mentoring and reviewing faculty and other activities as assigned.
• Meets formally at least monthly with assigned staff and meets informally on a consistent basis.
• Maintains office hours for students and is available to speak with students and potential students with questions or concerns about academic issues.
• Provide support for “at-risk” students as identified and requested.
• Collaborates with the management team to assist in the academic development of faculty, staff and students.
• Publishes at least one article annually.
• Presents at one conference (minimally) annually, representing Ashford.
• Creates and pursues relationships with University faculty.
• Attends and participates in weekly management meetings.
• Develops and implements research initiatives in collaboration with the other faculty.
• Collaborate with other University departments to ensure a positive overall experience for all University students.

Education:
• An earned terminal from a regionally accredited university in an appropriate discipline is required.
