Assistant Director, Instructional Support Center
The Assistant Director is responsible for fiscal management and accounting in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS) ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local and institutional rules and regulations. The Assistant Director is responsible for providing assistance to the Director in the overall planning, development, support, and supervision of all college initiatives in the Instructional Support Center (ISC). The Assistant Director is responsible for administering the day-to-day operations of the Instructional Support Center related to public inquiry, student/customer relations, faculty support, course/program support, registration processes, room scheduling, technical support, faculty compensation, and outcome assessment processes. The Assistant Director provides assistance to the Director in the daily leadership and direction necessary to provide these divisional services and supervision of the ISC staff.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required in business, business administration, accounting or closely related field.
A minimum of five years of relevant experience ideally to include a combination of experience requirement listed below:
Experience with accounting and fiscal management preferably related to higher education.
Experience with both operating and enterprise activities and budgets.
Experience with integrated database systems such as Datatel Colleague or Banner.
Experience interpreting and following mandated regulations preferably related to higher education.
Minimum of three years of supervisory experience required.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, procedures and internal accounting controls required.
Three years of experience with report writing languages ie., QueryBuilder, SPSS.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency using Microsoft applications and technology
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Ability to handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of constituents, including all levels of management, faculty, staff, students, the educational community and the public.
Preferred Qualifications:
