The College of Science and General Studies of Alfaisal University invites applications for a faculty position at the ranks of Assistant or Associate Professor in the fields of Applied Linguistics, TESOL, Linguistics, Literature, or closely related fields beginning September 2013. Salary is competitive. The College is seeking highly qualified candidates with a Ph.D. degree from a recognized university in one of the above-mentioned areas, who have good experience at tertiary level to teach Freshmen English courses, Technical Writing, English for Medicine, and Oral Communication. Evidence of potential in research and publication as well as commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected. The successful candidate is expected to participate in professional organizations and in course, curriculum, and program development.

Applications should be sent by email to science.recruitment@alfaisal.edu and should contain a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy, experience, published research, research interests, and a list of three references, with their email addresses and telephone numbers (Please include “Faculty Position in English” in the Subject line of all email correspondences). The University began instructional operations in 2008, offering international standard undergraduate and graduate programs in Business, Engineering, Medicine, Science and General Studies.
