Senior Director, AGB Consulting

For over 30 years, the Association of Governing Boards (AGB) has provided consulting service to college and university boards, presidents and senior staff. Because its newly-approved strategic plan strongly emphasizes consulting as a cornerstone strategy, AGB is seeking a Senior Director to lead and manage this effort. AGB Consulting requires an innovative leader who can develop a sustainable business model that leverages a pool of talented consultants pursuing new highest-quality products and services to meet member needs.

The Senior Director will provide overall vision and leadership of AGB Consulting, as well as run its day-to-day operations. This unique entrepreneurial individual must be committed to improving the governance of colleges and universities, drawing on a deep understanding of higher education management and governance.

The Senior Director will develop and run a client-focused consulting service with the energy and commitment necessary for expansion. The individual must have the ability to take calculated risks, the connections and networks within higher education to secure engagements, and the skills to deliver while working with a small staff.

Crafting a new business strategy and financial model that promotes growth and maintains quality is essential. Finally, since AGB Consulting will be an integral part of the association's efforts and member outreach, the Senior Director will work collaboratively with other senior staff and be available to participate in several association initiatives, as well as tap association staff to advance AGB Consulting.
