Assistant Professor of Journalism/Mass Media
Teaching responsibilities include all journalism/mass media courses, Writing for Contemporary Media in the Rural Studies baccalaureate program; serving as adviser to the student newspaper, academic advising, recruitment and retention of students for the journalism/mass media program. Successful candidate must have experience with layout and print journalism, writing for the web and other new media, and an understanding of how to develop and implement new media platforms for the student newspaper. The successful candidate is expected to exhibit a strong commitment to scholarship in one or more of the various fields of Journalism or Mass Media studies.
This is a tenure-track position. Terminal degree in Journalism, Mass Media, or related field required.
